Der sehr persönliche und berührende Dokumentarfilm LAS TORERAS (102min) von Jackie Brutsche feiert am Zurich Film Festival seine Weltpremiere im Fokus Wettbewerb. Ein Projekt an dem Jackie und ihre Crew über einen Zeitraum von 7 Jahren mit viel Herzblut gearbeitet haben.

Synopsis
Trotz einer schweren Kindheit hat Jackie ihr Glück als Künstlerin gefunden. Als sie die dunkle Vergangenheit einholt, macht sie sich mit ihrer Kunstfigur Jack Torera auf den Weg, um das Unglück ihrer psychisch kranken Mutter zu enträtseln, das ihre Kunst inspiriert, aber ihre Familien in der Schweiz und in Spanien entzweit hat. LAS TORERAS ist ein Film über Versöhnung und den Mut und die Kraft sich familiären Tabus zu stellen.

Synopsis
Despite a difficult childhood, Jackie has found happiness as an artist. When her dark past catches up with her, she sets out with her art character Jack Torera to unravel her mentally ill mother's misfortune, which inspired her art but divided her families in Switzerland and Spain. LAS TORERAS is a film about reconciliation and the courage and strength to face family taboos.
